Kate Beaugié is a light artist; she responds to various environments with site specific light installations. She has recently made a camera obscura in her studio in Folkestone as part of the Folkestone Triennial Fringe projects and has also exhibited a film installation as part of the Art in the Romney Marsh Project 2011. Her interest lies in portraying the wonder of natural phenomena by isolating them as the artwork.
